The Committee on economic Policy recommends that the Parliament should reject the draft law on amendments to article 2 of the Law “On State Procurement” (re purchase of food products for general educational institutions)

The bill (Reg. No. 2668) suggests not apply the scope of the Law “On State Procurement” to cases when items of procurement are the goods and services purchased in view of maintaining general educational institutions of state and municipal ownership with food products.

Attention was attached to the opinion of the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat. Experts noted that such proposals are not fully adjusted to the aim of the bill, which lies in establishment of a competitive environment in the sphere of state procurement; prevention of corruption manifestations; and development of fair competition, etc.
